I am years late to this, and what a shame I missed it until now. The environment design is just gorgeous. Not just the richly detailed backgrounds, but also the sound design to back it up. Each area had its own tone. The writing kept me chuckling, especially the 'incorrect' interactions with inventory items. Orin's slow walking pace really made it painful to backtrack and explore all the possible interactions, and hurt the pacing of the game. Besides that, my other big complaint is that it ended so soon. It left me wanting more, the best problem for a game to have!

Thank you so much!
Yeah, looking back at it several years later, I can definitely see the problem with Orin's walking speed ha-ha
I'm glad you enjoyed the game nonetheless thought!

Oh dear.  I'm a bit in, and I really have to say that Rin moves agonizingly slowly.  Perhaps you fixed this for the Yukari successor, but for this one, it really drags down what I'm sure would be a fun experience.

Even though I would not consider myself a die-hard Touhou fan, I feel like I have to comment on this because I think it deserves attention.

There is so much to like about this, the writing, art and music are great, and your interpretation of the characters has a lot of charme (Although I am probably biased, since I tend to like everything that has Satori in it).

I do not quite believe that this is your first (?)(judging by your tumblr post) attempt at gamedev. It is really hard to make a game by oneself, especially one as big in scope and as polished as this is. This is just my opinion, but judging by this game, I seriously think you should keep making games.

Watched this on turbomarisa's stream, a very fun, adorable experience with some very puzzling puzzles.
